Influence of Vata, Pitta & Kapha on skin


Vata

Air and ether are the main components of vata skin. Vata skin has small pores, an olive tone, and is thin, light, slightly dry, and slightly cool when it is in balance. It might be quite exquisite and lovely that people refer to it as "porcelain skin."


Pitta

Pitta is composed of two matters - fire and water. Pitta skin is delicate, soft, warm, and of medium thickness, making it particularly susceptible to tanning. Their body type is less capable of handling spicy and hot foods. Pitta-type skin is defined as sensitive, greasy in the T-Zone, and possibly blemish- and acne-prone. This skin type can flare up with a sunburn, acne, and sunspots when it is out of equilibrium. Sun protection is necessary for Pitta skin to maintain equilibrium.


Kapha

Earth (Prithvi) and water are the dominant elements of kapha skin. When in balance, kapha skin is chilly to the touch, thick, dense, moist, pale, and has wide pores. Typically greasy and with big pores, kapha skin. While Kapha's excess oil is sun-tolerant, it shows a greater propensity for blackheads and requires routine detoxification. Regular face cleansing, at least twice daily, and deep exfoliation, at least once a week, are essential components of kapha skincare.

Vata


By staying warm and calm - By keeping your body warm and cozy, whether in a warm bed, a hot bath, or a steam room, you may naturally balance your vata. Give yourself heated oil and hot stone massages. Surround yourself with cosy hues, calming sounds, and enticing scents.

Proper nourishment -

Serving food warm and ensuring your body receives the appropriate quantity of healthy fats and oils can both assist in correcting imbalances. Avoid eating anything that is frozen, chilly, or dried.
